Thoughts about.... Ethiopia, surprise!

I was just looking at another adoptive mom's blog, and she is a little behind us in the journey, having just gotten in all the paperwork a few months ago. I remember then that my thoughts often turned to Teshale's first mom (although then I didn't know that Teshale was our baby!), wondering how she was doing as she was going through whatever hard, awful thing would bring her to the place where she would have to give up her baby.

Crazy, huh? It's hard to think about... I just read an article about the famine today ... it really explains some of the underlying factors in a way that makes it easier for me to understand, although not at all easier to accept.
