we're heeeeere...
guess where we are? ETHIOPIA!
Flight was uneventful, about 6 14 year old girls sitting on laps in the seat behind us having a grand old time... the whole flight was like one big family reunion/party.
We got our updated report on Teshale and he is described as the "happiest baby in the nursery", nonstop babbler, and loves music. Hmmm... this sounds really familiar! He may be shy while in shell-shock mode for a little while but it sounds like we may have two peas in a pod. They look like twins, too, right? :)
We rode from the airport to the care center over some unpaved roads that would've made an ATV'er drool... saw some rickety scaffolding and a few shanty houses but it was dark but hard to see much.
We're hanging out with another couple here in the guesthouse who are getting their son, close in age to Teshale.
My baby's sleeping right now, probably already had his traditional 10 pm bottle that the nannies wake him to eat (no wonder he's gaining weight so fast!) and will be waking up in 7 hours to get ready to meet Enat and Abbat (Mom and Dad).
Love you all,we're almost there!!!!
(This is the first of I hope many emails received from Leah. I will be checking my email nonstop and posting right when I get any news from Ethiopia! Love, Cassie (Leah's sister))
