Back Home
We are doing well, Teshale is very happy when he's awake but sleeping right now is not fun, he was up at 2, 3:30, and 4:30 last night and never went back to sleep after 4:30. Then today it took about an hour to get him down for a nap. ugh. It would be easier if we weren't so tired, patience is already lacking, and it's hard to know how to do things this time with the attachment/bonding issue... if it were Mason at this age he'd be crying it out in the crib and we'd be all good. He's also pushing the limits, temper tantrum when we take something away that he wants (why can i not eat a rubber balloon?? why?) and is into biting, so we are struggling with figuring out how to discipline a kid that doesn't understand English and is in this crazy season of newness and uncertainty. All of this is not to complain but to ask for your prayers!!!
Otherwise the boys are enjoying each other, Mason is trying to figure out why he can't play hug/tackle with Teshale like he can with Zach :( They took a bath together last night because Mason wanted to see "if Teshale have a peepee", so they are getting well acquainted :) Teshale laughs a lot, which I know is a great sign, and crawls quickly everywhere to follow us around (sometimes we forget to go slow enough that he doesn't lose sight of us, which apparently is pretty scary for him).
We took a walk outside today, which was nice after being cooped up in the guesthouse in ET and then in small airplane spaces for so long. Otherwise we're just hanging out around the house and I'm slowly getting 4 suitcases worth of laundry done, and everything else sanitized. I am SO THANKFUL to have Joe home for the next 3 weeks, and SO THANKFUL that we have amazing wonderful friends who shower us with an abundance of food and friendship.
