Processing Holy Week

I think this may have been one of the best Easters ever, mainly because we were prepared through Lent and especially through Holy Week. I think this year more than ever I was able to feel fully the joy that God has come, in the person of Jesus, that He took it all for us, and rose victorious. I am chewing on this victory thing lately :)
Seder dinner Thursday night, my first Seder, a chance to walk through that tradition, contemplate Jesus's fulfillment of all the prophecies. Partaking of the ancient traditions of Isreal, fulfilled in Jesus. Beautiful, meaningful, rich. And our boys did amazingly well, sitting through nearly 2 hours of talking, reading, explaining. Such a neat picture of what it would have looked like back in Jesus's day, all the families, together, learning, worshipping, breaking bread, children watching and listening, partaking. No babysitters or children's church, just the power of positive peer pressure from the older trickling down to the younger.
Secret Church on Good Friday night through to Saturday morning; 6 hours to be completely, deeply immersed in God's word from Genesis 1 to Revelation. From sin to redemption. Hopelessness to blessed assurance. Truly drinking from a fire hose, too much to fully process so that I know I have to go back and slowly, sip by sip, take in the Word. But such a blessing in that this full picture of God's plan for us could be re-remembered and reheard just before we get to celebrate the fulfillment of that plan. Or is the Resurrection the fulfillment, or only the means to the fulfillment... is it not fulfilled until the new Heaven and new Earth are set in place??? See? Still processing and my brain is a little tired.
And then today, fun time with the boys and their eggs in the morning, church, and then the most relaxing day ever, sitting outside all day and watching the boys play, feeling truly grateful and resting in Him. I am so thankful for this day, and for Christ who loved us, loves us, will always love us no matter what and covers us with His own perfection.
